Jakarta, November 10, 2023 - Bringing the spirit of struggle on the momentum of Heroes' Day, MR.DIY as a retail store with low prices, complete products, strategically located and close to customers collaborates with Mitra Bisnis Keluarga (MBK) Ventura to encourage the empowerment and struggle of Indonesian women by providing product support worth IDR 525 million to 1,000 MSME owners spread across twelve provinces, namely Banten, West Java, Central Java, Special Region of Yogyakarta, East Java, Lampung, South Sumatra, Jambi, Bengkulu, West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Riau.

Commemorated every November 10, Heroes' Day is interpreted to commemorate and honor the struggles of heroes in the past. However, as time progresses, its meaning in the modern era has expanded. Now, Heroes' Day is also celebrated to ignite the spirit of self to continue fighting to achieve dreams, so that you can become a hero for yourself and your family.

In addition, Heroes' Day can also be interpreted as a form of appreciation for yourself for being a Family Warrior. One of them is women who have an important role in every family, especially women who help the family economy and even become the backbone of the family. This is supported by BPS (Central Statistics Agency) data, where in 2021 there were 64.5 percent of the total MSMEs managed by women on a micro-business scale. And these MSMEs have an important role in the Indonesian economy, because around 99 percent of micro entrepreneurs contribute to GDP (Gross Domestic Product).

As expressed by Michael Cohen as Head of Commercial MR.DIY Indonesia who said that this special moment is the right opportunity to celebrate Indonesian women who are family fighters. "We believe that when Indonesian women are strong, families will be strong, and the country of Indonesia will be more advanced. Therefore, collaboration with MBK Ventura is a real step for MR.DIY to support the struggle of Indonesian women and enable them to continue to develop. Let's continue to support Indonesian women in their struggle. Together, we can achieve meaningful change for our nation," said Michael Cohen.

Since its presence in 2017, MR.DIY has been a retail store company with low prices, complete products, strategically located and close to customers that has become the main choice for many Indonesian families, including womenpreneurs who are the backbone of their families through various businesses that they are engaged in. MR.DIY's synergistic collaboration with Mitra Bisnis Keluarga Ventura (MBK) through the provision of support in the form of product packages worth IDR 525,000 to 1,000 women will certainly help support their business operations and daily lives.

"As a microfinance institution (MFI) that provides formal and inclusive financial services to low-income women, of course our mission is closely related to MR.DIY's commitment. And this Heroes' Day moment is the right moment for us to together enliven the spirit of the values of struggle that must be fostered in every individual, especially in women entrepreneurs who have an important role in the Indonesian family economy," explained Achmad Ramdani as Deputy President Director of MBK Ventura.

Indy Barends as a Loyal Customer of MR.DIY who also attended this event expressed her appreciation for all women in Indonesia. "Being a woman, especially a mother, is very difficult, because we play multiple roles that are always needed in the family. In addition to household chores and taking care of children, many women are also the backbone of the family. That's why we need a strong support system, apart from the family of course also the environment, one of which is the presence of MR.DIY which is economical, complete and close to us, making it easier for us to find all the products we need, both for business activities and in everyday life," concluded Indy Barends.

With the collaboration of MR.DIY and MBK Ventura, it is hoped that it can inspire the wider community and raise everyone's fighting spirit because every individual is a fighter in their life.

Frida Herlina Marpaung as Chief People Officer of MR.DIY Indonesia expressed her hopes for the implementation of this collaboration program. "We hope that this program can rekindle the fighting spirit that has been inherited by our previous fighters by celebrating the struggles of Indonesian women. "This is also a form of appreciation for every individual who is a role model and an inspiration, and brings positive changes to their surroundings," concluded Frida.
