"This sustainable program has become an important vision for MR.DIY. Previously, we have carried out a series of programs starting from early childhood waste education, waste management workshops for MSMEs, to the DropBox Program. Today, we are again carrying out this mission in the opening of the 800th store through river cleaning activities in the city of Samarinda which are real actions to help protect the environment and contribute more to Indonesia," said Ria Sutrisno, Head of Marketing MR.DIY Indonesia.
Based on data from the BPS of Samarinda City, East Kalimantan's waste accumulation in 2023 reached 841,286 tons with a waste management rate of 87.63% and 12.37% was still dumped into the surrounding environment. The East Kalimantan Government continues to make efforts to achieve Clean East Kalimantan 2025 by inviting the public to sort waste, play an active role in reducing waste piles, maintaining environmental cleanliness by not littering, especially into rivers to create a healthy environment.

This motivates us to continue to contribute to providing the best service to meet daily needs, in accordance with the three values that we always carry. With this new store, we hope to provide wider coverage, better access, and more choices for all of you," said Ria.
