This activity was held on October 17, 2024 as part of the Indonesian Language Month Festival (Falasido) Volume XVIII at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, University of Indonesia, and was attended by more than 200 students. This initiative is a real form of MR.DIY's contribution to improving the financial literacy of the younger generation, which is the backbone of Indonesia's future economic growth.
Based on the 2024 National Survey of Financial Literacy and Inclusion (SNLIK) by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the financial literacy index for students only reached 56.42%. Global reality also shows the same story. According to The Student Financial Wellness Survey (SFWS) 2022, almost three out of four students in the world are still struggling with financial difficulties. Furthermore, poor financial management has a serious impact not only on financial conditions but also on mental health. The National Health Service (NHS) in the UK states that financial problems can trigger anxiety, disrupt sleep, reduce self-confidence, and increase stress levels. In the context of Indonesia, this financial literacy is increasingly relevant because the country is entering a demographic bonus phase, where the productive young generation plays a crucial role as the driving force of the national economy.
Ria Sutrisno, Head of Marketing MR.DIY Indonesia explained, "The young generation of Indonesia, especially students, are the main drivers of our economy. Therefore, we see the momentum of the Youth Pledge as the right time to provide financial training to equip them with practical knowledge in managing finances. This initiative is in line with the 'Ada Aja Idenya' campaign which we designed to make their lives easier, both inside and outside the classroom, with economical and quality products."

The financial training "There's Just an Idea: Anti Boncos Akhir Bulan" is part of MR.DIY's ongoing commitment to supporting the financial welfare of the community, especially students. In addition, MR.DIY also continues to strive to provide quality products at affordable prices throughout Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke, with economical prices, a complete selection of goods in stores that are located close and easy to reach.
In this event, MR.DIY collaborated with PT Bank CIMB Niaga Tbk (CIMB Niaga) to present a financial literacy education session for students, with speakers Emerging Business Banking (EBB) Liabilities & Fee Income Product, and Performance Head CIMB Niaga Yunita Chandrawati.
"The collaboration between CIMB Niaga and MR.DIY in improving financial and digital literacy through this activity is a real step in building a stronger financial foundation for the younger generation. With good financial literacy, the younger generation will be better prepared to manage finances, plan for the future, and contribute more to the national economy. CIMB Niaga as a bank that has complete products and services is ready to support the young generation in pursuing and realizing their dreams. Among them are through digital-based services such as OCTO Mobile mobile banking and OCTO Clicks internet banking, supported by various features that are easily accessible anytime and anywhere," said Yunita.
